The Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park is intended to be a venue for international exchange based on the art of pottery and it offers facilities for the creation, study, and exhibition of ceramics. It is a "forest" of culture where people, ceramics and information are gathered together.

The Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park offers a number of attractions, such as the Exhibition Hall of Industrial Ceramics which introduces the wide variety of Shigaraki ware, and the Museum of Contemporary Ceramic Art, where modern works of Japanese and international ceramic works are displayed.

Within the extensive grounds of the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park, there is also the Institute of Ceramic Studies, the Square of the Sun, the Outdoor Exhibition Space, and a restaurant.
